Last Tuesday, the City of McKinney recognized the MNHS Jazz Ensemble for their selection to the Essentially Ellington High School Jazz Band Competition & Festival, and officially proclaimed March 3rd as McKinney North Jazz Day! It was a special moment for our students and a wonderful recognition of their hard work! The program was also recently featured in the McKinney Courier-Gazette. We would love your help spreading the word about our Road to Essentially Ellington fundraiser. This opportunity is a major milestone for the entire MNHS Band program, but it does come with significant travel costs that we must fund ourselves. Please help us by sharing the link on your social Media!
Congratulations to the MNHS Winterguard on taking FIRST PLACE at the NTCA Hebron competition on Friday night! They have made huge strides over the past few weeks and their hard work is paying off.
Finally, as we move closer to UIL, please help us prioritize attendance and communication. We’ve seen an increase in missed rehearsals without advance notice. As a reminder, Concerts and Rehearsals are mandatory, and are part of students’ grades. Every member matters, and consistent attendance over the next few weeks will be essential for our ensembles’ success.
